On our site, Borrowing means everything you can borrow from your neighbors. Most of us have tools we rarely use, like a Drill machine or we use them seldom but in our possession, like a Hammer, Ladder and so on. There are also items we used more frequently in the past and much less in the present, like a Tent, Bicycle, Child seat etc. The idea of Borrowing is both social and good for the environment. It is most likely there are many Drill machine in the area you live, although one might have been enough for all. The same might apply to the Car in the garage. Maybe you can offer your car and get some money for it, and your neighbor, who cannot afford a car, can borrow yours and pay much less for it than owning one on his own.
